Annual Montana POW/MIA Ride to Remember

Helena, Montana

The ride starts at Helena's Memorial Park, 5 Memorial Drive in Helena beginning at 9:30 am with a POW/MIA commemoration ceremony. The ride will include police escort for the entire length of the ride down Highway 287. It will not be necessary to stop for traffic lights or signs as the ride goes through the various communities. This ride of approximately 183 miles with two stops. There will also be a brief stop at a pull-out a couple miles north of West Yellowstone to allow riders to attach/unfurl any flags they may have for the parade ride into West Yellowstone. The Ride to Remember is an annual ride dedicated in the memory of our country's POW/MIA military personnel and focused on the 53 Montana personnel specifically. The ride is held the 3rd Saturday in August every year and goes from Helena, Montana to West Yellowstone, Montana down Highway 287. This highway has been dedicated as the POW/MIA Memorial Highway.
